My turn

Postby suzukichic01 » Sat Feb 18, 2012 11:55 am

If no one saw it on facebook, I took a tumble leaving the house. I dusted off the bike and wiped off the grass debris and cobwebs off the tires and aired them up. As I pull out of the drive and give it some gas the rear end acted like I hit ice and swung left. I tried to recover and it took a 180 the opposite direction and my left knee contacted the pavement at full force. I am then ejected over the bike about 6' into the air and saw the bike land before I settled half on the curb and the street. Immediately I knew my knee was effed up and was scared to look at it for fear of seeing it bent a way god didn't intend for it to or seeing a bone through my jeans.

Today my left shoulder is in pain, my neck is stiff, my rib/diaphragm area is bruised and my left knee is swollen to my toes. Apparently the bike has only minor scratches but the frame sliders will need replacing along with new tires.

Thanks guys!! The brake master cylinder is broken off at the base, the front fairing is cracked and the exhaust is scuffed at the base. The bike ended up better than I did. I'm just so thankful it happened in front of my house instead of on the highway. The tires had absolutely no grip whatsoever and still had some dust on them when I pulled out. was like driving on ice and hitting the throttle.

I just took two hydros so I may be out til Monday. lol
