I think we have a few of these on the board....So who has one? I'm interested in the 2 up capability.

It has it. :biglol

I knew a guy where I worked before. His wife and his son both enjoyed passengering. He was a very tall guy. He really liked this bike.

From the two guys I know here that have them, they are nice. But in truth they will tell you as well that
1st They put a lot of heat out on the driver.
2nd They are gas hogs.
3rd Their wives love riding on the back. (alphawolf talked to the wives about that as well)
4th Their insurance is higher than mine. Some company and etc.

I hope this helps some.

I sat on the FJR last saturday. It is real nice and not as heavy as it seems. The Concuors was what I stopped in for, that and some plastic cleaner, but it had already been sold...

The FJR is niiiice. I likey.

I really like the Coucours, but I'll say it is a bit of a heavy beast. The balance was fine for me. My biggest concern was the pegs can't be moved (so I'm told) and they hit me smack in the shins (hard) every time. It is just the very wrong place/angle with no options to change it. Other than that, I really like that bike for what it is. Easy to get parts, nice bike that runs well with not a lot of maint. issues. People who own them usually like them.

Sport, sport touring and dual sport bikes tend to be the ones I prefer, though.

After 11 years on two wheels I have given up on the one bike for all uses ideal. My YZF600R was darn close and there are some models out this year that look as if with the right mod's would work out OK on all fronts BUT...

As specialized as machines are these days i think I need one for each pursuit. Sport tour, track, weekend canyon carver, commuter, play bike...Now I just need a budget for all 6 :doh :deadhorse

I would sell plasma and donate organs but I doubt I could raise enough $$. Bodily fluids aren't really in that big of demand these days! :biglol I was going to make an adult movie but there was always the cost of promotion, production, and distribution...I got plenty of inspiration though :biglol :slap

Sorry, I 'meant' giving them to others. There isn't a smiley out there for that one though. :dunno :doh

I was getting lustfull for one before they came out. I was reading everything I could find online about them and told some friends that I just might be getting one soon. Then I finally saw one in person at Kaw of Fay and, I don't know, it just didn't "call" to me. Wasn't anything I didn't like about it, just felt like I'd regret buying it later and be missing the 919.

If I was going to get a "real" Jap sport tourer today though, I'd pick it over the FJR or the ST1300.

Chris was a concours and really makes it run . I like the looks of my FJR better . My is a 05 with ABS . The only real dislikes I have is the height but thats my deal not the bikes , I'm 5'6" (and a half) and is blows a LOT of heat but I think that has been fixed since 05' , I got a leather half bra for the tank which really helps . It tends to drag the pegs a lot . I like mine a lot .

Geesh, Tod, YOU make it seem like you're trying to 'compensate' for something. You're better than that!

Bag-draggin', avatar whorin', wheelie poppin' kind of guys like the FJR, IMO. :roll2 :roll2 :roll2
