(drum roll please) IMHO and unbiased opinion it has to be the RSV4. Quite simply the pick of the litter in engine and electronics (just ask the CRT teams) , no first gen teething worries as may be the case with the Panigale, and no niggling eccentricities as with the BMW. The Ape V4SE is the bees knees. Top shelf. Big cheddar.

It has the ultimate engine configuration, the pleasure of 2 years of fine tuning and testing to ensure it is a proper "Superbike with Lights". Call it the Lamborghini of the 2 wheeled world Vs say Ducati as being the Ferrari. Lambo does one thing, speed. Whereas Ferrari does the whole multiple models and tunes with a hefty dose of styling thrown in. Aprillia does make other bikes of course, but its flagship does what flagships are suppose to do. Show up, intimidate, and devastate.

If you like looking at your bike over a glass of Pino, Ducati is your buy. If you want to be on the thing that people only see for a second (well it is ugly) and wonder "what the hell was that a stealth jet?", then the Aprilia is your toy. As for the BMW it is the most powerful I4 to date, has an aquired taste styling wise, and is probably the most functional day to day. Tuetonic efficiency like all thing German is handy, but can miss the passion inherent in the Italian brands. Probably all day comfy too.

And know that I have gone multi paragraph on my dissertation I ask the simple question?? Why not the MV F4 in the place of the BMW?

Then I think I could have one of each...and throw in a stack of rear tires please!! :biglol

:+1 This right here sums it up. I would go with the Ape all day. I though will never afford any of them so I will be happy with my R6.

Ferari MV Agusta Lamborghini Alpha Romeo no substance? Again have to disagree

The Ducati Panigale does have an interesting feature that one ups the Aprilia, electronically adjsutable rebound and compression suspension. Might be nice to have when you go from one side of Arkansas to the other, doing slab, State highways, and county maintained blacktop roads.

My mind is still lusting over the MV F4 RR Corsa Corta tho... :drool

Back in the 80s I had a Honda 1000 interceptor, the V4 makes for a narrow platform, the power delivery was allot smoother, and not to mention the V4 rumble.

I choose a 2011 or 2012 Multistrata S by the end of this year and have the CBR as backup.

If it were a dream bike it would be the Aprilia hands down, at least they use a simple spring on the valves. But #2 would have to be a ZX10R.
