Snuffy that name sound really familiar but I can't put a face to him. Either way it goes sorry to hear about his death. Wow riding season is barely here and there are already several fatalities!

Sorry to hear that, but to piggy back on the last statement, you are correct...that is the one thing that you notice all across the nation, people have their mc parked all winter and a few days into the season..the unfortunate happens and they are no longer with us...happened to a friend of mine last year...first time was a wake up call that he didnt listen to unfortunately....2nd happened weeks later...

That's why after many months of not riding or after a full deployment, I'm always one to take it slow. I start small and make trips around the neighborhood and slowly venture into town. It will take me about a week to get the right frame of mind about me to actually ride further than 10 miles after months off. After my last deployment, I really learned my lesson on taking it slow after I made the mistake of going with the usual fast group on a group ride. I knew I wasn't ready 15 miles into it.

When I get back, I plan on doing a mini msf course around the block for a few hours to get my mind in the zone.

Then actually you were ready...it's knowing when to go fast and when to
go slow that matters....especially on the street...

Sounds like you knew your ability and followed the correct path.............
I try to do the same....but I admit, sometimes I let my ego get the best of
me...

Their's an old say'n...."you can't cure stupid"

The learning curve of motorcyling is tough...sometimes deadly, it's just
part of the game....sadly, always will be

I went to the state police site to see the report on this guy, but it wasn't up yet.

Then I saw these 2 other reports and thought they should get posted here.

Its sad to see so many happen so close together.
